Lost Art Collection: Shorthand Art
Acrylic on canvas, 24” x 18”
My husband and I endured serious trials when we made the last move to a new city. Many times we did not think we would survive. God brought us through these trials and brought us closer to Him in the process. This painting is about trouble, which became the centerpiece for the shorthand. The shorthand for “trust” and “goodwill” are also included. The shorthand made a perfect way to divide the canvas plain for abstract art.
I should mention that I made a poor attempt at using my Chinese in this painting for “open your heart,” which is located in the bottom right-hand corner of the painting. I hope my Chinese friends and relatives will not be too critical of that effort. Clearly, writing Chinese characters is one of the most difficult tasks.
I Peter 4:12-13 (NKJV)
Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
